I remeber drawing a picture in third grade of "Rodent Heaven"...and to this day I swear one of the hamsters looked like Baru. He was such a sweet little hammie and brimming with personality...and who didn't love his unique facial expessions and love for yogurt and cucumbers? Don't forget the tissue paper nests that made him look oh-so-cute when he slept. I'm sure Baru brought joy to the millions of people who visited the Homecage just to see this little ball of creme-colored puff.

Goodbye Baruchito...may you rest in peace and munch on eggs in Rodent Heaven.

i know how you feel. my bunny died last year. his name was polo and he was adorable. he died on halloween. baruchito was extremely lovable.

Our whole family is sorry to hear that Baru has departed. We love our hammies very much too and know the pain of loss. They have much love to give and we are lucky to share time with them. You are a wonderful hamster papa.

i have a hamster named Hazel. She looks just like baru she had babys and are full of love. I can not beleive you were able to stand the pain of losing a loved one in your family. When my first hamster died i had not had her long and did not feel to much pain, but Hazel is like an angel from heavan i bet baru was too. Hes in a better place now with all the other lost loved hamsters. Hopefully i can look up to baru to look after my Hazel, Lucy, Tinkerbell, Baby, Tommy, Angel, Clover, Lily (died), Peatnut (died), Sam (died), Scrappy (died), Cookie (died), Trouble, Tucker, Tibit, Champ, and Scooby. i have had a lot of hamsters. Hazel has had 12 babys her 2nd litter. Well God Bless Baby Baru i love him and loved reading his sight

You are an amazing pet owner and battle things out till the end for creatures that are vunerable. I have lost a hamster and i was very upset. He was lovely. you are an inspiration to all pet owners.

i always look at this page i love the pictures and stories..i made a site with my friend because this site inspired me hammy-land.piczo.com im so sad that baru died me and my hamster lily use to sit and look at the pictures together... she had a near death experiance...my bedroom door was left open by my sister and my cat got into my room and pushed the two cages apart(conected by tunnel with hole that the tunnel goes in to one cage with no connection)and my cat is small and almost got in but my dad saved her...luckly!!but i will rrreeeaaalllyyy miss baru. you should get a new hamster in his memorie and if its a girl name it lulu and a boy should be baru2!!! i hope you get over his death...i got over my hamsters deaths RIP your hamsters Baru,juletia,poteto and sora and RIP my hamsters hammy,spanky and baby i love you all rest in peace<3

I can't help but remember my first hamsters - they were this albino pair, who are the sweetest things ever. I called the boy 'Frankenstein' and the girl 'Sleeping Beauty', or simply boy-boy and girl-girl for short. Boy died at 1 1/2 yrs and girl died when she was 2.... I cried for days each... Condolences to Baru's departure and I'm sure God will love the sight of him running about in Eden...

Hi, I just checked the site to see how baru was doing and to my dismay found out he had left us. I to own a little hamster called honey who love lots. I have dealt with 4 hamster deaths and understand what you are going through. If you want any tips on how to get over the little dude what I usualy do after one pops it is buy a new one the following week. It takes your mind of it and gives you something to love and before you know it you love the knew one and the pain for the old was has gone and been replaced by happy memories.

I am sorry for the passing of your hamster. My daughter is a has loved each of hers (#4 now) and each time it breaks her heart but after a few months of sadness she opens her heart to another. So much in such a small bundle for too short a time.

My Hamster died a few weeks ago on April the twenty first 2006. I was so sad..=( but now I'm okay. =) Hope My hamster meets Flan, Baru, and the rest of them and make friends with them!
