Big food pellets

Yesterday Papa brought home a new kind of food pellets. They're like the normal pellets that come with my favourite food mix, but MUCH bigger. I could only fit four in my cheek pouches. I had lots of trouble trying to put the fifth one inside. I kept trying, and trying and still there wasn't any way I could put it there. But I wouldn't give up easily.

In the end I had to give up and hold it with my teeth while Papa brought me back to my cage.

oh luna!! you are adorable with puffed out cheeks.. i wish i could see how big those pellets are... and i wonder how many oscar and stuff if you can only put in 4..?

That's what I was wondering. All the pet stores around here use the big pellets, even with the littlest dwarfs. Now how is a 25 gram roborovski hamster supposed to each something 1/3 to 1/2 his size?? They of course do! Determination counts for something.
