Tissue paper for my nest!

Nana collects tissue paper
Yesterday night when I was playing on the floor I found a bit of tissue paper on the floor. I put it all in my cheek pouch to use it in my nest. Papa saw me and he took me in his hand and gave me several pieces of stripped tissue. I took all of them to my nest.

I have a very warm and comfy nest now!

Luna's visits

Nana walking on the floor
For some reason, this week Luna is coming to see me very often, at least twice a day! I'm usually sleeping in my nest. Then I can smell Luna's scent and I wake up. She's always there in front of my wooden home's door, sitting on Papa's hand. Then I come out from my nest very awake, but she's not there anymore and Papa takes me in his hand. He then puts some oily thing in the bump under my tail and he leaves me in the floor so I can look for Luna. Usually I find Oscar's cage and try to call him, but he doesn't usually come out when the lights are on.

I got angry with Papa when he started putting this new medicine under my tail. It hurt. Now it doesn't hurt anymore, but it is still a bit uncomfortable when I walk. That's not a big problem because I have gotten used to it and now I can play and run like usual. Yesterday I was playing in the floor for almost one hour and I fought the evil curtains again. Papa put me back in my cage after a while, but I wanted to play more. I climbed the wire wall in my cage to let him know that I wanted to play more and he got the message. I have trained him well!

When I got tired Papa put me back in my cage. I drank some milk and then I went back to sleep.

Nana's problems

Nana is having some trouble with the bump under her tail. When I woke up on Monday morning I went to her cage to see how she was. I checked her and saw that she had some blood in her tail. I took the morning off and brought her to Dr. Ozawa's clinic. At the clinic, Dr. Ito saw her and confirmed that the blood came from the bump. He said that it had grown very much and told me to bring her to the clinic again as soon as possible if I notice that she can't pee. If that happens then he would try to operate her again to remove the bump. He said that the operation would be difficult because she's so small and that the probability of success would be low, but at least that would give her a chance, because if she's unable to pee then she would die in a couple of days. Apart from this, she's healthy and strong. He gave me an steroid-based antiinflamatory ointment that I have to apply twice a day on her bump, and we went back home.

At night I applied the antiinflamatory in her bump and put her back in her cage. She hated it. I think that it hurt her. After a while I put her on the floor and she went to play as usual. She was very interested in Oscar's cage, which I put on the floor while I cleaned Nana's toilet.

Yesterday morning after I woke up I found her lying outside her nest, which is very unusual for her, specially now that it's colder. I checked her. There wasn't any blood, but I thought that she wasn't able to pee because she had drunk almost all the milk that I left in a small dish in her cage the night before, but in her toilet there were only a couple of small wet spots. I took the morning off again and took her to Dr. Ozawa's clinic. Dr. Ito saw her again. He pressed gently her bladder and she peed without any problems. He taught me how to do it in case I thought that she couldn't pee. Most likely she hadn't peed at home because she hadn't woken up yet to go to her toilet. After I brought her back home she slept in her nest and ate as usual. At night, when I came back home I let her play for a while and then I applied the ointment in the bump again. She has learnt already that it hurts and hides inside her wooden home when I'm going to put her medicine.

Luckily, Luna is always glad to help me. When Nana hides I take Luna and bring her near Nana's nest. As soon as Nana smells her she comes out from her wooden home, then I put Luna back in her cage and take Nana to give her the medicine. She's obviously uncomfortable with the swelling, but it doesn't seem to hurt her (except when it's medicine time).

She's a very brave little girl.

Milk in a bottle

Yesterday night when I was on the desk helping Papa study I saw him take one of my medicine bottles. I got a bit upset because I thought that he was going to put more medicine in the bump under my tail. Instead, he put the bottle in front of my nose! I thought that maybe he had forgotten where my tail is. But then I noticed that the bottle didn't smell like my medicine. It was filled with milk!

What do you want me to do with this, Papa?

Hmmmm I think I can bite this...

Hey, this medicine tastes like milk!

I like milk!

Wait, Papa, I want to drink more!
I drank almost half of the milk and then Papa put me back in my cage. My tummy felt very full!

Sometimes when I'm playing on Papa's desk he lets me drink fresh milk from a small dish. He says that milk is good for me. I like milk very, very much, so I do as he says.

Checking Papa's bed

Oscar inspects Papa's bed
Every night my new Papa takes me out of my cage and lets me play on his bed. He only lets me play in the floor if I'm inside my ball, because he says that he's afraid that I could hide behind the sofa and get hurt.

When I'm playing on the bed I like to hide behind the pillow and under the sheets.

Papa, this bed is not so bad, but I think it needs some wood shavings and tissue paper...

Is it play time already?

Luna wants to play outside
Papa, Papa! Is it time to play already? I want to play in the room! Will you put me in the floor?

Papa lost a leg!

Looking for Papa's leg
Yesterday night I was playing on the floor when I found Papa's trouser near the sofa. I decided to climb Papa's leg like I did the other day, but this time there was something strange. I couldn't find his foot. I tried reaching up to look inside, but the foot wasn't there! I think this means that Papa has lost his leg and he hasn't noticed. I tried to find his leg.
Looking for Papa's leg

It's not on this side

Looking for Papa's leg

Not on this side...

Looking for Papa's leg

And not on the inside either!

Looking for Papa's leg

Perhaps if I try again...

Looking for Papa's leg

No, it's not here...

Looking for Papa's leg

He has definitely lost it!

In the end I gave up and went to play with the curtains. I couldn't help Papa much. Do you know what I can do to find his lost leg?

New bump

Nana's new bump
This weekend Papa took me to see Dr. Ozawa again because that bump under my tail has come back. Dr. Ozawa inspected it and he told Papa that this time he can't remove it. I think that he has something to do with the other time that it dissapeared. He said that he can't remove it because this time it's in the middle of the little hole that I use for peeing. If he removed it then I would not be able to pee. That would be a problem, because I use my toilet several times everyday.

In the end, he told Papa to keep an eye on it and to bring me again to the clinic if it gets worse. He gave Papa more medicine to put on the bump in the morning and at night. I don't like it at all, but I can't do anything about it.

It doesn't hurt and I can play normally. Sometimes it's a bit uncomfortable when I walk, but that's all.

Anyway, Papa looks worried.
